Afghani-American Woman Condemning Islam

"Is it racist to condemn fanatisicm?" by Phyllis Chesler.

Another misled, troubled and confused Islamophobe.. her thoughts & conceptions are the fruit product of undergoing a series of unfortunate events.

The barbarity of Islam?
Islamic tyranny?

There's an obvious confusion between Islam the religion and its extreme practitioners.. ones you may refer to as 'Muslim tyrants'- unfortunately those exist multitudinously.. and people, especially those who are not aware of what Islam really is, automatically relate the actions of these tyrants to Islam & condemn it.

Polygamy is permitted in Islam, but it comes with its terms.
Incarcerating women in their own homes.. that's culture & Islam did not enforce it.
& for the gazillionth time, Islam and terrorism are not even remotely associated.

*Sigh* .. when will the world finally learn how to distinguish between cultural habits & religion?

  2. that is the problem, people make judgments based on muslims not based on Islam. Muslims don't know their religion and confuse cultur, habits, and regional practices with religion, and since many muslims aren't educated when it comes to their religion's matters they don't question those practices and don't try to go back to the sources of Qur'an and Sunna to find out the truth. In this case ignorance is not bliss ignorance is hell.

Not trying to be sarcastic :

When followers of religion X learn and behave accordingly and show others the difference.
